Winter Training
We will start at 10am and aim to be finished at 4pm. We hope to have a few hours of coaching, working on a specific skill in the morning, followed by an afternoon of racing with an aim to doing 3 races (weather permitting). We hope to make a series for this! Obviously, winter is a rather chilly time of year so it might be worth breaking out the thermals, drysuits or any other warm clothing you can fit under your buoyancy aid! The event will be run on the same premise as Go Racing, turn up on the day, no booking required. Please note if you are not suitably dressed for the conditions, we may not let you on the water. This is for your own safety.
If you have any questions, or would like to volunteer to help out with safety or the running of any of the above dates, please get in touch!
Best,
Will and Ellen, Cadet Captains.
Proposed date and date we are working to is Friday 22 February.

Easter Sailing Camp - Junior Improvers Week
Our Improver courses are aimed at those who have completed their RYA Stage 1 and 2 and have some sailing experience since completing that course, for example at our Go Racing or Friday Sailing sessions. By the end of the week you should be more confident sailing in Toppers in a wider range of conditions and there may also be a chance to learn how to sail double handers.

There is a maximum of 12 participants on these courses.
Participants should be confident in the water and be able to swim 50m in light clothing.
ELYC training programs are run by a professional team with some voluntary help, and look to provide a basic understanding of sailing, and where possible award certificates. However, it should be noted that this is not always possible as the weather can provide some challenging conditions.
Certificates are awarded through the RYA scheme, and only awarded when skills can be shown at the correct level. The club takes no responsibility for the completion of certificates. Where possible we will try to help out but it is important that junior sailors are presented with the right skill level for the course they wish to do.
Further information on the RYA courses we plan to deliver are available on the RYA website.
Courses are run Monday – Friday 09:30 – 4.30pm
