Stuart MacDonald has offered to give a talk on his 2017 trip to St Kilda on Friday 15th February. The bar will be open from 7, with the talk starting at 7:30pm.
Stuart was mate for 82 year-old ex-Royal Marine, Rev. Bob Shepton and his 3 crew on Dodo’s Delight. Their plan was to film Dave the climber on a tough new sea-cliff climb. Find out how they fared. He has photos, video and some salty stories to tell of the trip beyond the Outer Hebrides to this National Trust for Scotland World Heritage Site.
Stuart may be known to some of you as he used to sail a Skua out of North Berwick Harbour. He has raced and cruised far and wide, and famously in the Norway to Banff North Sea Race in his Oceanis, Mrs Chippy, with the mountaineer, Jamie Andrew. Stuart was Technical Director for building Musselburgh’s second St Ayles skiff, Steedie.
