RYA Dinghy Level 3: Better Sailing & Adult Improvers

Enhance your skills, develop your sailing technique and build your confidence with an improvers weekend on 8th and 9th of May. This 2 day course is a fantastic opportunity to get valuable training. We are offering this course to members at a greatly reduced price of only £75, in order to give you the skills and confidence to participate in other club activities, and to take advantage of the free summer boat hire.

This adult improvers course is aimed at sailors who have passed their RYA level 2 or who have equivalent experience and are looking to progress and get time on the water with our team of instructors, improving their skills and confidence back on the water after lockdown. This is a great opportunity to get fantastic sailing instruction from our experienced team of instructors.

This course will act as a refresher for those who already hold their RYA Level 2, and participants can use this weekend to achieve their RYA Level 3:Better Sailing certificate. If participants would prefer to spend their time on the water with our instructors solidifying their Level 2 Skills, the weekend can be paced to allow for that, and RYA Level 3 certification can be achieved at a later date. 

Even if you have already have achieved your RYA Level 3 you are welcome to attend. Getting time on the water, repeating this course can help to embed your sailing skills.  

These are 2 day training courses, running from 9:30am-4:30pm. The first course is on the 1st-2nd May and the second course is on the 8th-9th May.  Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Use your own boat or club boats are available.

This is a 2 day course running over Saturday & Sunday from 0930hrs to 1630hrs.

The cost is £75 per person for the weekend.

Participants must be members of ELYC before applying for a course and membership can be applied for here.

Participants should be confident in the water and able to swim 50m.
