introduction

The club has a very active racing and regatta programme, and there is always a need for competent powerboat drivers to help out with these activities. To that end, a programme of RYA Powerboat Level 2 and RYA Safety Boat courses, along with ELYC specific Powerboat refresher courses will be run in 2025. We will also be running the RYA First Aid Course and VHF Radio Course. 

You must be a member of the club to participate in any of the training. If you are interested in a course please email training@elyc.org.uk

RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course

The minimum level that the club would expect a Safety Boat driver to use. This course can also be used for the basis of an International Certificate of Competence (Power). 

We also offer refresher courses for members to consolidate their skills and to feel confident supporting club activities.

Dinghy Instructor, RYA First AID, RYA SAFTEY BOAT & VHF Radio Courses 

We run RYA Dinghy Instructor, RYA First Aid, RYA Safety Boat and VHF Radio Courses in the spring and during the course of the year depending on demand.
