INTRODUCTION

At East Lothian Yacht Club we are spoiled with a fantastic location for running and hosting a variety of racing activities ranging from introductory and club level racing, all the way up to National Championships. ELYC has successfully run regattas for more than 200 boats, one of the few facilities in Scotland to be able to facilitate events of this scale.

The club has an excellent reputation for hosting major UK and Scottish Championships. In recent years we have welcomed the following classes to ELYC for their UK Championships: Contender, Enterprise, International 14, 2K, Musto Skiff, RS200, RS400, Solo, Tasar and Toppers.

At East Lothian Yacht Club we always encourage sailors to head to the start line to join in the fun. But there is an understanding that for some, this can be a daunting prospect, especially early in their sailing careers. To try and convey the mantra of "can sail, can race" some of our talented and experienced sailors assist in the running of a race series aimed specifically at those who would like to perhaps build on the skills and confidence they have already gained.
