As our memberships renew on the 1st March 2020 we are not processing new memberships at the moment. However we look forward to accepting new members from 1st March 2020.
By applying for membership you accept that you understand that the primary objective of the Club is to take part in and encourage sailing. As we are a club run by volunteers so you will be asked to help with race officer duties, rescue boat duties, bar and social duties or other from time to time. If you feel this will be an issue, please do not hesitate to contact the Membership Secretary.
Child Members : A child who is under 11 years of age at 0001 hours on 1 January and has a parent, grandparent or guardian who is an Ordinary, Family, Senior, Senior Family or Honorary Member can be a Child Member at no additional charge; please contact the Membership Secretary.
Family Memberships : For Family applications, once an application has been approved the Bundle Administrator (being the person making the initial application) may add a spouse or partner to their record. Further details will be included in an e-mail sent when the application is approved.
If the applicant is under 18 years old, the permission is required of Parent or Guardian: To Parent or Guardian - in the box towards the end of the application form please add your name and today's date as indicating that you give permission for the applicant to take part in sailing events at ELYC and in so doing you understand that sailing does involve risk.
Our membership system requires a unique e-mail address for each application. This means a parent or guardian cannot use their personal e-mail address for their application and a child or children. The work around is to add +childname to the first part of the e-mail address. If the parent/guardian e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org, children may be registered as email@example.com Some ISPs will ignore the +childname part with the result that the parent/guardian will receive more than one e-mail, whilst other ISPs will reject the whole e-mail address with the result that the parent/guardian will only receive one e-mail.
