Note that by completing the form you accept that you understand that the primary objective of the Club is to take part in and encourage sailing; you further understand that you may be required to assist on a regular basis with race officer duties, rescue boat duties, bar and social duties or other from time to time.

If you know two members of ELYC, ask them to propose and second your application and add their names to the approriate parts of the application form and complete the box on why you wish to join ELYC.

If you don't know any members, please state in the box why you wish to join ELYC and what sailing experience you have, if any.

If the applicant is under 18 years old, the permission is required of Parent or Guardian:    To Parent or Guardian - in the box towards the end of the application form please add your name and today's date as indicating that you give permission for the applicant to take part in sailing events at ELYC and in so doing you understand that sailing does involve risk.

The membership computer system demands that each e-mail address is unique. Thus, a parent or guardian cannot assign their personal e-mail address to himself or herself and to a child or over two or more children. The 'fiddle' round this is to add +childname to the first part of the e-mail address; thus if the parent/guardian e-mail address is parentname@isp.co.uk, children may be registered as parentname+childname@isp.co.uk Some ISPs will ignore the +childname part with the result that the parent/guardian will receive more than one e-mail, whilst other ISPs will reject the whole e-mail address with the result that the parent/guardian will only receive one e-mail.
