The Novice and Cadet Regatta will run on the weekend of 4th / 5th May, and as always will be a fun event! The racing is short and sharp, giving everyone a chance to win.
Courses will be laid using the club marks and starts will be from the club line making this a great opportunity to become more familiar with the Saturday afternoon race format
You can sail your own boat or a club boat. To book a club boat you must do this this when registering.
Boat numbers are limited and will be allocated on a first to book basis, all participants must register on the web site as, for safety reasons, we will not be able to accept entries on the day.
We can only accept novices and cadets who have already passed their Stage 1 & 2, (you will need to have passed your 3 & 4 to use a club double hander) so please do not enter if you do not qualify.
There will be coaching on the water during the event, so you can perform as well as possible.
To be considered a novice you must be in your first or second year of sailing/ racing
The briefing will be at 09:30 in the wet changing room and racing starts at 10:30 on both days.
Racing will finish around 13:00 Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, food can be bought from the Sail Loft Cafe. On Sunday food will not be available.
Look forward to seeing you on the water.
